Cancellation and Refunds

New shop orders are paid directly to the shop at collection. Older shop orders may have been paid online through Razorpay. This page covers cancellation and refunds for those orders.

Shop orders

New orders are paid to the shop when collected. An older order may already have been paid online. A new order has no online payment to refund before collection.

Cancelling an order

• You can cancel an order while it is pending or accepted. Once the shop marks it ready, ask the shop.
• The shop can cancel an order at any point before it is collected.
• If you paid for an older order online, cancelling refunds you automatically. There is nothing to request.
• If the shop reduces an order after you paid, the difference is refunded automatically.

Orders that lapse

• An older online order whose payment is not completed within 15 minutes releases its stock hold. If a payment still goes through after that, it is refunded in full, automatically.
• An order the shop has not accepted within 24 hours is cancelled. If you had paid for it online, the payment is refunded in full, automatically.

After collection

Once an order is collected, any return or exchange is between you and the shop. Mandiram does not refund collected orders, but support@mayash.org will help if you cannot reach the shop.

How long a refund takes

A refund goes back to the payment method you used. Razorpay usually credits it within 5–7 working days; your bank may take longer to show it. If a refund has not arrived after 10 working days, write to support@mayash.org.

Donations to Mayash Foundation

Donations to Mayash Foundation are made on mayash.org, not on Mandiram, and are governed by the Foundation's own cancellation and refund policy.

Donation entries on a place

A donation entry on a place's page records an intention to give. It moves no money, so there is nothing to cancel or refund — any giving happens directly with the place.
